The McMullen County Cowgirls stayed perfect in district at 4-0 with a big road win at Ben Bolt last Tuesday.

The Cowgirls won in four games, 14-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-14.

Mamie Shelton and Destinee Thomas lead in kills with three each while Shelton had two aces. Myranda Ruiz had a game high 14 assists while Jasmyn Smith tallied four as well.

We were very sluggish in game one and Ben Bolt took it to us. Our second game was back and forth but we pulled out a win and never looked back. This was a big road win for us and should help our confidence as we travel to Benavides for another tough road test. The Cowgirls’ overall record sits at 15-8 right now.

Our Junior High Cowgirls stayed perfect as well as they downed Ben Bolt in a three game thriller as well last Monday in Tilden.

Both teams made several nice plays throughout all three games and there were some great rallies.

The Cowgirls next game will be at home versus Pawnee.
