The Live Oak County Boys and Girls Clubs volleyball league opened with a full day of games Saturday at the George West High School gym. League commissioner Mike Upton said there are 110 girls participating this year, up from 90 last year. The league alternates between George West and Three Rivers. The Hula Girls, coached by Dickie Rodriguez and sponsored by Finders Keepers, were playing the Red Storm, coached by Andi Stewart and sponsored by Best Western. The two teams, made up of sixth-graders, are from Three Rivers.
