Juanita DeLuna Perez, 88, of Three Rivers, died on Monday, November 7, 2011.

She was born to Felipe M. DeLuna, Sr. and Dolores Mungia on June 24, 1923 in Ray Point. She married Gilberto Perez, Sr. on May 3, 1943 in George West. She was a homemaker and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Three Rivers.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two children, Adolf D. Perez and Lucy D. Perez.

She is survived by five daughters, Olga Herrera of Three Rivers, Dolores D. (Juan) Huerta, Hilda D. Saldivar, Mary Mina D. (George) DeLeon all from San Antonio and Sandra D. (Ron) Fitter of Houston; four sons, Joe D. (Cindy) Perez of Alabama, Gilberto Perez, Jr. of Three Rivers, Alex D. Perez of San Antonio and Johnny D. Perez of Odem; one sister, Maria Chavera of Corpus Christi and 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Visitation was held Thursday, Nov. 10, from 12-9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at the Galloway and Sons Chapel in Three Rivers.

Service was held on Friday, Nov. 11, at 10 a.m., at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Three Rivers with Father Ryszard Zielinski officiating. Burial followed at the Three Rivers Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Gilberto Perez, Jerry Herrera, Mark Perez, Adam Mochorro, John Perez and Joe Perez. Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Perez, Alex Perez and Jose Cruz.

Services entrusted to Galloway and Sons Funeral Home, Three Rivers.
