She was born to Louis Grunder and Emma Smith Grunder on Aug. 29, 1923 in Cuero. She married Charles Edward Pugh on Feb. 5, 1945 in Kinsley, Kansas. She was a telephone operator and a homemaker and was a member of the St. George Catholic Church for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Edward Pugh.
She is survived by two sons, Larry Edward (Sheila) Pugh of Pearsall and David Lamar (Rhonda) Pugh of Arlington; five grandchildren, Jina Hopp, Julie Pugh, Dianna Macklin, Amanda Wood and Jessica Pugh; four great-grandchildren, Anna and Madeline Hopp, Cane Macklin and Caleb Wood.
Visitation was held Friday, Nov. 11, from 6-8 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m., at the Galloway and Sons Chapel in George West.
Service was held Saturday, Nov. 12, at 10 a.m., at the St. George Catholic Church in George West with Father George Johnson officiating. Burial followed at the Gussettville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ray Pugh, Bill Pugh, Scott Hopp, Mark Wood, Emmett Harris, Marvin Zimmerman, Jim James and Willie James.
