Lady Horns end great season with lose in quarterfinals

The George West Lady Horns varsity volleyball team had a great year making it all the way to Regional quarterfinals up against the Marion Lady Bulldogs at Poteet on Nov. 8.

The Lady Horns postseason ended in four close games (21-25, 22-25, 26-24, 23-25). The Lady Horns prevailed in game three but were unable to get any closer in game four.

Kelsi Bartlett led the offense with 15 big kills followed by Kaylee Brysch with nine and Marley Snider with eight. Rylie Shannon and Caysi Holt each had two kills. Snider had three serving aces, Brysch and Shannon each had one. Mary Cansino had 30 assists to help the ladies with their kills. Brysch led with blocking three solos and two assists. Bartlett and Holt each had an assist. Cansino led defensively with 20 digs, Snider and Holt each had 19, Bartlett 15, Shannon 11, Brysch seven, and Alexa Wheeler four.
