He was born to Joe and Eufemia (Garza) Tanguma on Dec. 18, 1949 in Three Rivers. He was a backhoe operator/welder in the oilfield industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a son Tony Tanguma.
Survivors include his wife, Julia Tanguma of Beeville; four sons, Manuel Tanguma Jr. of George West; Leeroy (Priscilla) Tanguma of Three Rivers, Johny Tanguma and fiancée Kimberly of Lufkin, Anthony (Dorothy) Tanguma of Corpus Christi; two daughters, Melissa (Marcelino) Castaneda of Runge, Jessica (Brian) Gamboa of Karnes City; four brothers, Joe Tanguma of Three Rivers, Luis (Mary) Tanguma of Victoria, Mike (Martina) Tanguma of Victoria and Frank (Janis) Tanguma of Beeville; 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be (today) Wednesday, Dec. 14, from 6-9 p.m. at Roberson Funeral Home Chapel in Three Rivers.
Funeral service will be Thursday, Dec. 15, at 10 a.m. at Roberson Funeral Home Chapel in Three Rivers.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations be made to Roberson Funeral Home in Three Rivers, to help defray cost of funeral.
