JV Longhorns start season 3-3

On Tuesday, December 6, the George West Longhorns JV beat Premont at home 33-29.

The Longhorn JV was lead in scoring by Zach Moreno with 14 points, Matt Martinez with seven points, and Mason Moore with five points.

On Thursday, Dec. 8, the Longhorn JV played in the Kingsville Academy Tournament.

In the first game the Longhorns lost 25-23 to Falfurrias. Leading the Longhorn in scoring was Moreno with nine points, Eli Garcia with four points and James Baker with four points.

In the second game, the Longhorns won 41-18 over Kingsville Academy Freshmen. Leading the Longhorn in scoring was Moreno with 15 points, Baker with 11 points, and Garcia with 10 points.

In the third game on Saturday, Dec. 10, the Longhorns lost 35-19 to Kingsville Academy JV. Leading the Longhorn in scoring was Baker with nine points, Moreno with four points and Matt Martinez with four points. The Longhorn record for the season is 3 and 3.By Gerry Morgan
