Kenneth Dewayne "Ken" Baker, age 59, of Lagarto died on Dec. 31, 2011. He was born on March 28, 1852 to Homer C. Baker and Dorothy Knight Baker. He was a deputy with the McMullen Sheriff's Department and the Live Oak County Sheriff's Department. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Willadean Jackson.

He is survived by his wife, Robin Baker of Lagarto, his children, Candy (Brett) Crider, Tina Baker, Jaclyn (Daniel) Norval, Josh (Erica) Scott, all of Corpus Christi, Wendy (Robert) Freeman of Garden City, LA. and Sarah (Shawn) Cox of San Antonio and 11 grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held on Friday, Jan. 6 at 10 a.m. at Galloway and Sons Chapel in George West.

Arrangements are under the direction of Galloway and Sons Funeral Home of Three Rivers.
