Santos Salazar, age 59, died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012 at a local hospital in Beeville following a short illness. He was born to Rudy Salazar Sr. and Manuela (Medina) Salazar in Paducha. He worked independently as a painter.

He was preceded in death by his mother. Survivors include his wife, Oralia Salazar of George West; two sons; Michael (Ana) Salazar of George West, Daniel Salazar of Beeville; one daughter, Noelia (Marvin) Agustus of San Diego; father, Rudy Salazar, Sr. of Dimmitt, five brothers and six sisters, ten grandchildren and one great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was Wednesday, Jan. 11 from 5-8 p.m. at Roberson Funeral Home in Three Rivers.

Funeral service was Thursday, Jan. 12 at 11 a.m. at the New Wine Worship Center located at 214 S. Nueces in George West. Pallbearers were Arnold Bernal, Jimmy Morin, Johnny Augillion, Daniel Garcia, Wally Puentez and Johnny Puentez. Honorary pallbearers were Michael Anthony Salazar and Avino Ruiz.

Burial followed the service at the George West Cemetery.

Services were entrusted to Roberson Funeral Home of Three Rivers.
