The McMullen County Cowgirls and Cowboys both enjoyed success on the hardwood this year. The Cowgirls ended up Area Champs defeating Fayetteville and then saw their season end at the hands of the Moulton Kittens by a score of 46-35. There was no shame in losing to Moulton as they represented Region four at the State Tournament. The Cowgirls ended up 26-6.

The following players received All District Honors. Co-MVP of District 32- Mamie Shelton, Defensive MVP of District 32- Allie Donnell, First Team All District- Destinee Thomas, Second Team All District- Jasmyn Smith and Danielle Dawson, Honorable Mention- Lidia McBee, Anna Castren, and Heather Gillin.

The Cowboys narrowly missed out on the playoffs but still had a winning record going 15-11 on the year. The following Cowboys earned All District Honors, First Team All District- Nathan Dillard, Second Team All District- Colt Cruz and Clay Atkinson, Honorable Mention- Brandon Patterson and Jandrew Spence.

Coach Oden and myself really appreciate the hard work and effort put forth by all team members and we would also like to thank all the fans who supported both teams throughout the year. There were some very long road trips during district but the McMullen faithful were always there cheering on the Cowboys and Cowgirls.
