The Major girls softball game on Saturday had four Little League World Series umpires officiating the game. All four will be working at this year’s World Series finals. They include, from left, Three Rivers’ Greg Likens, Moe Scherzer from Rockport, Patsy Boening from Yoakum and Beeville’s Richard Webb. Likens and Scherzer will be umpiring in Williamsport for the Major boys while Boening will be in Portland, Ore., with the Major girls and Webb will be in Delaware with the Senior girls championships.

Little League Umpire corrections

Greg Likens is from George West, not Three Rivers as mentioned. He officiated the 2007 Little League World Series for the Major Boys division.

Moe Scherzer, from Rockport, was one of the umpires for the 2010 Little League World Series also for the Major Boys in Williamsport.

Just in case someone reads this, there needs to be a corrections. First Greg is from George West, second he went to the LLWS in 2007 for Major Boys, next Moe went to the LLWS in 2010 for Major Boys also.
