The George West Longhorn UIL had a very successful meet in Three Rivers on Saturday, Jan. 17th.

First place medals were awarded to Megan Hardwick in Accounting, Joshua Wagner in Computer Applications, Marlin Williams in 10th grade Number Sense and Hitesh Patel in 12th grade Calculators.

Winning second place were Salina Chapa in 10th grade Mathematics and also in 10th grade Science, Marcus Miller in Accounting, Wesley Iley in 9th grade Science and Chayson Holt in 12th grade Science. Hitesh Patel received third place in Accounting. Fourth place ribbons were won by Marlin Williams in 10th grade Mathematics, Marcus Miller in 12th grade Calculators, Chayson Holt in 12th grade Mathematics and Cody Bartlett in 9th grade Science. Also, in fifth place we had Cody Bartlett in Current Events, Marlin Williams in 10th grade Calculators and Elizabeth Cansino in 10th grade Science.

Overall, we had an amazing turn-out and the Longhorn UIL did a great job. They had to sacrifice a lot time to stay after school for some long practices and worked really hard. Thanks for all those who participated. Keep up the good work.
