Greer retired from Texas State University -- San Marco after 29 years of teaching, service and creative research. She is a graduate of North Texas State University where she earned a Masters of Fine Art Degree. She has exhibited in juried competitions across the country, winning 29 academic and creative awards. “The symbols of my work are personal,” Greer explained. “Often I am not aware of the meaning, yet during the creative process, the meaning evolves into different ideas through use of symbols.”
Laman, a Texas State University art professor, exhibits fiber arts. Her collection represents more than 20 years of experience with the medium.
“Handmade paper offers an exciting vehicle for personal expression,” Laman said. “It combines the accidental with the deliberate to produce surfaces and imprints that evoke a sense of the unpredictable passage of time.”
Laman holds a Masters of Fine Art Degree from the University of North Texas. Solo exhibits include Northeast Texas Community College in Mt. Pleasant, Texas; St. Edward’s University in Austin; Central Texas College in Killeen, Texas; and Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in Denver. She exhibited at Coastal Bend College in 1997.
