I want to thank those who voted for me for the George West City Council. Even though I was not elected, it should have sent a message to the council. There has not been any seal coating of our streets in more than five years. Houston Street in front of our school is cracked and deteriorating. If George West is going to flourish, we need to take pride and improve the attractiveness of our city.
I would also like to congratulate Louis Salinas on his re-election and David Cantu on being elected to the city council.
I encourage you to take the time and interest to attend a council meeting from time to time. These are your elected public servants and they need to hear from you.
Once again, I say thank you and I look forward to continuing to serve you as a member of the George West Economic Development Committee.
