Angie Sauceda and Brittany Smith competed in Entrepreneurship with their development of a hypothetical jewelry business for teens. They won silver medals.
The team of Tori Garcia, Amanda Ginster and Vanessa Stewart competed in Interpersonal Communications with a project that encouraged more tolerance of students with physical and learning disabilities. Silver medals were awarded to this freshman team.
Three Rivers Middle School qualified a team in Chapter Service Project Manual in which they shared how they helped a family with Christmas shopping that was a hardship this year. Gabby Sandoval, Hunter Haag and Lille Council won silver.
Natalie Carroll and Jacqueline Coquat are the Chapter advisors. Kathryn Wolff also attended as a STAR event judge.
Also accompanying the FCCLA attendees were Geneva Garcia, Gilda Ruiz, Ava Ruiz, Roberto and Elvira Sauceda, Gracie Stewart, Lauren Carroll, Ronald Quintanilla, AnnaLee Maiden and Marissa Haag.
After sessions and competitive events, the students visited Universal Studios, Disney World, Epcot Center, Animal Kingdom and Kennedy Space Center.
