Three Rivers Bulldogs defeated the George West Longhorns 58-42 on Tuesday, Feb. 10.

The Bulldogs led for much of the game in a contest that was close early. The Bulldogs would slowly pull away in the 3rd and 4th quarters thanks in part to the shooting of Preston Pennington and strong inside play of Travis Escamilla and Ian Smith.

Jacob Moran and Jonathan Sulaica added to victory with some strong defensive play in the 4th quarter. Pennington led all scorers with 18 pts. Travis Escamilla chipped in 14, Logan Muniz 9, Ian Smith 6, Garret Luthringer 5, John Morgan Ross 4, and Trevor Wells 2. Escamilla led the way rebounding with 11 boards while Ross added 9.

On Friday, Feb. 13, the Bulldogs fell to the Natalia Mustangs 65-42. Preston Pennington, Logan Muniz, and John Morgan Ross each chipped in 9 points. Travis Escamilla added 5, Trevor Wells 4, Ian Smith and Garret Luthringer 3. Escamilla and Ross pulled down 12 boards each while Pennington secured 3 steals.
