The McMullen County Pre-Kinder class and Mrs. Addie Stewart have been visiting Live Oak County for 16 years to celebrate “P” week activities.

For a program on dental awareness the class visited Dr. Pat Spiekerman’s office. “Susan, the dental hygienist, gave a wonderful informative program for the students,” said Addie Stewart.

From there the group went to the Mayor August Caron Park Pavilwion to play. The Pre-K students had plenty of energy left to help build their own personal pan pizzas at Pizzarriffic with manager Mr. Ram Ibarra “It was one of the highlights of the day for our students to make the pizza’s. What a terrific time for all of us,” Stewart said.

At the Three Rivers Nursing Center the students gave a song and dance performance and celebrated with the new King and Queen of the center. The students gave out love hearts to all the residents and sang Valentine songs.

The Progress was their last stop. The staff explained how reporters write stories and take photos to convey the news of our community. The students were given note pads and pencils to write their own stories.

Stewart closed by saying, “A special thanks to all who made our “P” week so terrific”.
