The Toyota Camry driven by Christine Davis rests on the right side of Interstate 37 northbound lanes. Davis' vehicle veered into the center median from the southbound lanes and was struck by another vehicle traveling in the northbound lanes. Davis was killed in the wreck.

A Wimberley couple in their 80s traveling in the nothbound lanes of Interstate 37 was transported by an AirLife helicopter to University Hospital in San Antonio after colliding with another vehicle that careened across the center median from the southbound lanes.
Christine Davis, 25, was following her fiance in the southbound lanes of Interstate 37, and at about 12:48 p.m., her Toyota Camry veered over into the center median where the car started spinning and ended up in the northbound lanes of I-37, according to Department of Public Safety Trooper Gabriel Llanas.
Davis died instantly when a northbound Buick Enclave – driven by Edward Whitfield Bryan, 88, with passenger Elizabeth Bryan, 85, both of Wimberly, T-boned the Toyota, according to Llanas.
The Bryans were transported by AirLife to University Hospital in San Antonio in serious but not critical condition.
Two dogs were in the Toyota. One small dog died, but a larger dog seemed OK after the accident.
Justice of the Peace Endercio Chapa, Jr. pronounced Davis dead at the scene of the accident.
Davis’ body was taken by Roberson Funeral Home in Three Rivers.
In addition to DPS troopers, the Three Rivers Volunteer Fire Department, the Whitsett Volunteer Fire Department, Live Oak County Sheriff’s Office, Nueces County Sheriff’s Office and Acadian amubulance service responded to the accident.
