The Longhorn UIL had an extremely successful meet in Port Aransas on Jan. 24. They had many medals and ribbons to be brought home. Medals were awarded to Katheryn Cansino in first place for Persuasive Speaking and second place for Editorial Writing.

Also winning medals were second place Literary Criticism team, Luke Sehlke, Jane Riser and Sara Roach. In fourth place we had Frank Alvarez in Informative Speaking and Elizabeth Wright in Poetry. Fifth place winners were Kim Franklin in Informative Speaking and Sara Roach in Poetry. Sara Reagan got sixth place in Persuasive Speaking and also getting sixth place was Luke Sehlke in Computer Applications. Hillary Sellman received ninth place in the same event. Unsurprisingly, GW had an incredible turn out. Keep up the amazing work!
