Lady Bulldogs shut out Kenedy

The Three Rivers Lady Bulldogs took care of business last Tuesday by defeating the Kenedy Leopards 15-0.

Freshman Megan Cruz pitched an outstanding game giving up only one hit. Three Rivers got on the board early by scoring 4 in the 1st inning.

Allison Dugger led off the game with a walk then Kelly Barker advanced her to second on a bunt. Christen Lerma then singled to short right field to move over Dugger and Barker and load the bases for Lindsey Amman.

Amman then singled in two runs, scoring Barker and Dugger. Lerma then scored on a ball that got behind the catcher, then Amman did the same to make the score 4-0. The Lady Bulldogs scored 3 more in the 2nd inning as Allison Dugger started a 2 out rally by doubling to center. Barker then knocked her in with a single to right field. Lerma then advanced Barker to 2nd on a Leopard error as she reached first. Amman then moved both runners over on a single.

Brittany Pullin hit a 2 RBI single to score Lerma and Barker to make the score 7-0 after 2 innings. Kenedy held the Lady Bulldogs in the 3rd, but Three Rivers put away the game in the 4th inning , scoring 8 runs.

Tamara Gonzales hit a 2 RBI double in the inning to score Morgan Franke and Pullin. Lauren Storey also scored in the inning. Pullin led the Bulldogs offensively going 3 for 4 with 3 RBIs. Amman was 2 for 4 and Barker was 2 for 3 with 3 runs scored in the win.
