Mae Cranfill Wood, age 96, of Three Rivers died on March 9. She was the daughter of Willard and Ruth Boydston Cranfill. She was born on May 1, 1914 in Bosque County. She married C. W. Wood in Wise County. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a son, Red Wood.

She is survived by two sons, Raymond Wood of Gonzales, LA. and Bugs Wood of Simmons City; two daughters, Lois Shannon of Three Rivers, Jean Strause of George West; one sister, Rita Beights of Pilot Point; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was March 10 from 6-9 p.m. at Galloway and Sons Chapel. The funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 11 at 10 a.m. at Simmons City Community Church. Burial followed at Simmons City Cemetery.

Arrangements were by Galloway and Sons Funeral Home of Three Rivers.
