Daniel E. Cadena, age 63, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012 at a nursing home in Corpus Christi. Daniel was born to Abelardo Reyes and Juanita (Enriquez) Cadena on Dec. 24, 1948 in Edinburg. He worked as a driller and company man in the oilfield industry.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Guadalupe Cadena.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Cadena of George West, one step-son, Gene (Cindy) Rowland of Lander Wyoming, three daughters, Carol (Troy) Lee of Austin, Lily (Keith Allen) Benavides of George West, Sylvia (Raf) Cadena of George West, one brother, Joe Cadena of Comfort, five sisters, Elodia Ybanez of Corpus Christi, Sovaida Amaro of Three Rivers, Solia Valdez of Sinton, Margaret Haag of Odem and Juanita Tanguma of Victoria.

He was blessed with four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Friday, Dec. 21 from 5-8 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Roberson Funeral Home Chapel in Three Rivers.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Dec. 22 at 9 a.m. at the St. George Catholic Church in George West.

Burial will follow at the St. George Catholic Cemetery in George West.

Services entrusted to Roberson Funeral Home in Three Rivers.
