Jesus Cavazos, Jr., age 88, died at his home on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012. He was born to Jesus and Rafaela (Rodriguez) Cavazos, Sr. on Feb. 19, 1924. He was a farmer raising food for his family. Jesus never married.

He was preceded in death by his parents and all but one sibling.

He is survived by a sister, Theresa Cortez of La Mesa.

Visitation was held Monday, Dec. 31, beginning at 10 a.m. with a Prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Monte Olivo Church in the Karon Community in Live Oak County. Rev. Esau Rodriguez officiated the service.

The funeral service was held Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Monte Olivo Church in the Karon Community with Rev. Esau Rodriguez from Bastrop officiating the service.

Burial followed the service at the Lebanon Cemetery in Live Oak County.
