Ty Sparks, Superintendent, announced plans for observance of Texas Public School Week at George West Schools on March 11 – March 15. Sparks, the principal, and faculty of each school invite and encourage parents/guardians to visit the schools during Texas Public School Week.

Parents/guardians are invited to eat lunch in the cafeteria with their child(ren) during Texas Public School Week. If you would like to participate, complete and return the form sent home with your child(ren).

In addition, Open House will be held at all schools Monday evening, March 11. School personnel will be on hand to greet and visit with parents/guardians.

Sparks emphasizes that the Open House is primarily to allow parents an opportunity to meet teachers, see samples of students’ work and view the school facilities. Conferences with teachers concerning individual student problems should be arranged by appointment with the teacher and principal concerned.

The Open House schedule is as follows:

Primary School 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Elementary School 6:30 – 7:00 p.m.

Junior High School 7 – 7:30 p.m.

High School 7:30 – 8 p.m.
