TRHS One-Act Play advances to area

The District 31-AA one-act play contest was held on Thursday, March 24 at Three Rivers High School.

Receiving top district honors and advancing to area competition was the Three Rivers High School production of “Fuddy Meers” directed by Mr. Jimmy Conn.

Cast members receiving individual awards included Best Actress Rachel Dockery, All-Star Cast member Shelly Smith, and Honorable Mention All-Star Cast members Jonathan Luna and Chris Martinez. Also advancing to area competition was Jourdanton High School. George West High School was named as alternate advancing play.

Other schools competing included Cotulla High School, Dilley High School, Natalia High School, and Freer High School. The Three Rivers play will next compete at the Region IV Area 3 competition to be held at Three Rivers High School on Thursday, April 9. Four plays will compete that afternoon with the first play beginning at 2 p.m.
