Natalia got on the board early after a couple of Three Rivers defensive errors with 2 outs to go up 2-0, which was the score through the first two innings. In the 3rd inning, Ashley Gutierrez got things going with a single. Morgan Franke then moved Gutierrez over. After a Natalia throw got away from the Mustang first baseman, Franke moved to second and Gutierrez scored. Kelley Barker and Brittany Pullin followed with hits as Franke scored to tie the game 2-2.
Three Rivers took the lead in the 4th inning as Lindsey Amman led off the inning with a triple and then scored off a Megan Cruz hit to make the score 3-2 after the 4th inning. In the 5th inning, Natalia got 4 runs after a couple of Lady Bulldog defensive errors. Cruz then struck out the Natalia cleanup hitter to end the inning. Three Rivers got two more runs in the 6th inning as Gutierrez and Cruz singled then advanced off of a Franke hit in which Gutierrez scored. Allison Dugger then singled to centerfield to score Cruz to cut the deficit to one run going into the 7th inning.
Lindsey Amman hit a double to left field and then advanced to 3rd base on a ground ball by Lauren Storey. With two outs in the 7th, Gutierrez hit a line drive to right field to score Amman to tie the score 6-6. Cruz got the first batter of the inning to ground out for the first out.
Two batters latter, the Natalia hitter grounded to Pullin who threw to Storey at second base for the second out of the inning, but the umpire called the Natalia runner safe. The next Natalia hitter then knocked in the winning run to give the Mustangs a one run win.
Offensively for Three Rivers Gutierrez was 3-for-4, Amman 2-for-4 with a double and triple, Barker and Dugger were 1-for-4, Franke 2-for-4 and Christen Lerma had a double.
