Annie Ruth Mayfield Coleman, age 92, died on Thursday, Sept. 18, in a Three Rivers nursing home following an extended illness.

Annie was born to Fred and Beulah (Barrow) Mayfield on Aug. 2, 1916 in Austin. Annie was a long time children’s minister at the First Assembly of God Church in Freer and also a dietician at the old Freer hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Levi Coleman; mother, Beulah Barrow Mayfield; father, Fred Anderson Mayfield and two sisters, Avis Mayfield Maxwell; Lorene Mayfield Upton Brieden.

She is survived by a sister, Naomi Elizabeth Rankin of Kingsville; three sons, Everett Ray (Joyce) Coleman of Kenedy; Thomas Leroy Coleman of Three Rivers; Harley (Frances) Coleman of Pleasanton; daughter, Earlene (Sam) Armstrong of Three Rivers; granddaughter, Dena Kaye of Pleasanton; grandsons, Eric Thomas Coleman of San Francisco, CA.; John Alan of Burleson; Tommy Douglas of Palmer; three great-grandsons, eight great-granddaughters.

Visitation was held Sunday, Sept. 21 at I p.m. in the First Assembly of God Church in Three Rivers. Funeral services were on Sunday, Sept. 21, at 2 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Three Rivers. Graveside funeral services were on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 4:30 p.m. in the Hahl Cemetery in Freer.

Services were entrusted to Roberson Funeral Home of Three Rivers.
