Clovis Ray, 92, died Sunday, March 16, 2014, at a nursing home in Pleasanton following an extended illness.

Mr. Ray was born to Elmer and Lena (Nelson) Ray on May 13, 1921, in Kingston, Okla. He married Lillian Dusek on June 23, 1938, and was a supervisor in the oilfield industry. Upon retiring, he pursued his avid love of golfing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandsons, Clovis Ray and Bob Ben Ray Jr.; and his sister, Billie Repka.

Survivors include, his wife of 75 years, Lillian (Dusek) Ray of Calliham; a son, Dr. Bob Ben (Cecilia) Ray of Three Rivers; daughter, Joyce (C.W.) Wood of Three Rivers; sister, Jackie Pennington of Houston; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Tuesday, March 18, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Roberson Funeral Home in Three Rivers.

The funeral service was conducted that afternoon at 4 o’clock at the Haven of Rest Mission in Three Rivers with Brother Dave Darling officiating. Burial was at the Calliham Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Marty Harris, Clay Atkinson, Jeff Atkinson, Stacy Little, David Pennington and Eddie Ray.

Services were entrusted to Roberson Funeral Home, Three Rivers.
