Mr. Pullin was born on April 3, 1919, to Ernest and Ida (Williamson) Pullin in Three Rivers. He and his wife, Louise, worked at the Children’s Home in San Antonio, before retiring and moving back to the home place in Three Rivers. He served in the U.S. Army in WW II.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Louise Pullin; and three brothers, Cecil Pullin, Floyd Pullin and Ernest Pullin; and one infant sister, Bessie Pullin.
Survivors include two sisters, Iva Compton of Fort Worth and Ida Morring of Beeville; and one brother, Norman “Shorty” (Helen) Pullin of Three Rivers; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Thursday, April 24, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Roberson Funeral Home, Three Rivers.
The funeral service was conducted Friday, April 25, at 10 a.m. at The Good Hope Baptist Church with Brother Dave Darling and Chris Walker officiating. Burial will follow at the Three Rivers Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Darrel Pullin, Daylon Pullin, Lance Rush, Floyd Pullin, David Paul Darling and Greg Coulk.
Honorary pallbearers were Roy Morring Jr., Jim Maxey, Tommy McNeill, Myron Punzo and all children from the Baptist Orphanage.
