Guillermo “Willie” Gonzalez, age 76, died at his residence following a short illness. He was born to Jose Maria and Elvira (Perez) Gonzalez on February 10, 1933 in Weslaco. He was a carpenter and was a active person and kept the Gonzalez Ranch going. He married his wife of 52 years, Eliza (Vasquez).

Survivors include his wife, Eliza Gonzalez of George West, one son, Elias (Dora) Gonzalez of George West, three sisters, Fidela Herrera of Houston, Ester Hernandez of Weslaco, Rebecca Robledo of Weslaco. He was blessed with two grandchildren. He also had seven great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 11 from 12-9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Rosa Saron Church on 137 Northbound access road, between Hwy 59/137 and FM 799.

Funeral Service will be Friday, June 12 at 10 a.m. at the Rosa Saron Church.

Burial will follow service at the George West Cemetery in George West.

Services under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Three Rivers, Texas.
