Three Rivers High School Cross Country team begin season

The Three Rivers High School Cross Country team began their season with the opening meet at Brook Air Force Base in San Antonio.

The varsity girls competed in the 2A division. Out of the 115 girls competing, Bianca Saenz, Ashley Hesseltine, Christina Salnias, and Shelly Smith ran a great race. Cami Hunter placed 35, Megan Cruz placed 27, and Darcy Orsak placed eighth.

The varsity boys gave it their all and competed very well for so early in the season. Making varsity team is Jacob Moran, Jonathan Sulaica, Joe Garcia, Jacob Carvajal, Nathan Morin, and Dustin Thomas.

On Saturday, Sept. 27, the junior high and high school competed in Dilley. Placing at this meet for the eighth grade boys was Zenon Sanchez coming in 15th place.

The junior high teams did exceptionally well and are ready for their next meet. Placing on the junior varsity team was Christina Salinas coming in ninth place. The junior high and high school cross country meet will be this Saturday in Corpus Christi at West Guth Park.
