Later in the third quarter, led by Wallace, George West moved the ball in for their first touchdown. However, Freer responded on the next series with a touchdown drive of their own and led 20 to 7 after three quarters.
The Longhorns playing determined and inspired football completely dominated the Buckaroos in the fourth quarter. The Longhorn defense kept Freer from moving the football, giving the offense opportunities to turn the tide.
Wallace scored on an eight- yard run to bring the score to 20 - 14. QB Wallace followed up a few moments later with a determined 65-yard run, putting the Longhorns ahead for the first time in the game at 21 to 20.
The final touchdown was scored by Dustin White on a forty-yard interception return. White followed all four touchdowns with successful PATS.
