He was born on March 8, 1932 in Three Rivers to Yndalecio Zepeda and Guadalupe Rodriguez. Alberto enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War. He retired from the City of Corpus Christi after 35 years as a foreman in the street department. Alberto Zepeda also provided landscaping and gardening services for 40 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Yndalecio and Guadalupe Zepeda; three brothers, Mike Zepeda, Sylvester Zepeda, and Joe Zepeda.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elvira Zepeda; children, Albert (Lisa) Zepeda of Houston, Joe (Rosie) Zepeda, Gloria (Alfred) Posada, Oscar (Sandra) Zepeda all of Corpus Christi; brothers, Pablo Zepeda of Sinton, and Yndalecio (Yolanda) Zepeda Jr. of Robstown; sisters, Beatrice Ortiz of Three Rivers, and Maria D. (Daniel) Guerrero of San Antonio; 11 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, at Seaside Funeral Home with a rosary recited that same evening at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial was held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 13, at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church with interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Joe Zepeda Jr., Gabriel Zepeda, Jesse Zepeda, Alfredo Nicholas Posada, Eddie Caballero, Greg Molina, and Oscar Zachary Zepeda.
