George West Athletic Booster Club announces “Blue & White Night” on Saturday, Aug. 8 at Longhorn stadium beginning at 7 p.m.

George West Athletic Booster Club held a meeting, Wednesday July, 29, at our Longhorn supporting Dairy Queen in George West where officers and members in attendance were brought up to date on finances by treasurer/merchandise officer, Dorothy Taylor.

Funds have been donated towards the purchase of a Noah basketball system. Funds are in reserve to purchase two knee strengthening and rehabilitating machines to be located in our new field house at Longhorn stadium

We were also excited to hear that Longhorn football T-shirts can be purchased at Handi-Stop located at US 281 & US 59 intersection here in George West.

The booster club needs you - Senior parents of athletes as well as any other parent/guardian of a George West high school athlete to help make any event a Longhorn success but especially to start with the “Blue & White Night”.

A burger, chips & drink meal will be sold to the public for a $6 donation. Our team athletes will be provided a meal that night.

T-shirts and other items can also be purchased during the scrimmages. Membership forms will be available and any booster club officer or member can answer any questions you have about any type of support you may be willing to offer.

We need you George West parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and businesses; come join us and be part of supporting our Longhorns. Mark your calendar for the next meeting to be held on Wednesday, Aug. 19 at the George West cafeteria.
