Last Thursday night the George West JV Longhorns shut out the Jourdanton Indians, bringing their record to 3-0 in district play. This was the first shut out of the year for the defense. Ronnie Paiz was the defensive player of the week.

Quarterback Ty Jimmerson had two touchdowns, a 50 yard fake punt, and 180 total yards. Kaleb Gee contributed a one yard touchdown in the second quarter.

Also gaining yardage for the Longhorns were Ronnie Paiz with 60 yards on 12 carries, and Joseph Moore with 53 yards on 20 carries. JV coach Justin Dunham had this to say about his players, “They boys are playing as a team right now and that is a huge reason why we are winning. When 11 players play as one it make you hard to beat. We have three games left this season against the toughest teams in our district. For us to continue to win, we have to continue to play as a team.”

Come support the JV Longhorns tomorrow as they travel to Dilley in hopes of adding another win to their record.
