Truth for Youth Live Oak invites all local middle school and high school students to join us for a night full of fun Friday, Oct. 31, at the First Baptist gym in Three Rivers. Come on in after the football games, and stay until 7:30 the next morning, playing games, having contests, enjoying magic and comedy, listening to music, watching videos and generally having a great time. Did I forget to mention food? There will be plenty, including an ice cream sundae bar!

This event is designed to provide a safe, enjoyable way to celebrate the holiday for those who are a bit mature for trick-or-treating, but still want to have fun.

Naturally, we have to have a few guidelines. Participants may not return after leaving, and anyone leaving before 7:30 Saturday morning will need to be checked out by a parent or guardian through one of the adult sponsors. Alcohol, tobacco, and other controlled substances, weapons of any sort, including guns or knives, and crude language or suggestions will not be permitted. Costumes are optional. We suggest you dress comfortably, but appropriately, keeping in mind we’ll be playing games that may include running, jumping, throwing, etc. We want everyone to have a good time without getting hurt in any way.

Anyone wishing to donate sandwiches, cookies, chips, snacks, or help in supervision, e-mail Valerie at Come on out and have a full night of fun!
