Edward Dwain Cooper, age 80, died Monday, August 31, 2009 at a nursing home in Beeville.

He was born on July 18, 1929 to Marcus Houston and Mary Ada (Barnes) Cooper in Clegg. He was a lineman for San Patricio Electric Co-op. He proudly served his country in the US Army.

Survivors include: three sons, Jerry and Gary Cooper of Corpus Christi, Bobby Cooper of George West; one daughter, Barbara Cheryl Cooper of Amarillo; one brother, Phillip Cooper of Uvalde; and numerous loving sister and brother-n-laws. He was blessed with numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held at Roberson Funeral Home Chapel in Three Rivers on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 10 a.m.

Burial washeld at LaRosa Cemetery in Woodsboro at 3 p.m.
