Virginia E. “Ginger” Hutson Hamrick Postert, 89, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009 after a short illness.

She was born to William and Velma (McMahon) Hutson on Nov. 29, 1919 in the Simmons/White Creek area in Live Oak County. She was a postal worker for the US Post Office in George West before retiring.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 54 years, Jesse Gordon Hamrick Sr., her daughter Teresa Hamrick Ray, 4 infants, her brother Owen Hutson and her parents.

She is survived by her husband E.J. Postert of Karon; two sisters, Maxine Bowerman of Corrigan; Patricia Bonney of McAlester, OK; two daughters, Carolyn Hamrick of George West, Drucilla (G.C.) Woody of Dahlonega, Georgia; three sons, Harvey Hamrick of George West, Jesse (Paula) Hamrick, Jr. of Alvin, John (Barbara) Hamrick of Dripping Springs. She was blessed with 17 grandchildren, 43 geat-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews, she also had five step-children and seven step-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 4-7 p.m. at Roberson Funeral Home in Three Rivers with a rosary following at 8 p.m. at the St. George Catholic Church in George West.

Funeral mass was held on Thursday, Oct. 15, at 10 a.m. at the St. George Catholic Church in George West. Burial followed at the Gussettville Cemetery in Gussettville.

Services entrusted to Roberson Funeral Home, Three Rivers.
