Lorraine White Inscore, 74, of Floresville, formerly of Three Rivers, died on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010.

She was born in Calliham on Sept. 18, 1935 to John and Mary Lorraine (Harris) White. She married Les Inscore on Sept. 17, 1978. She graduated from Three Rivers High School second in her class. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she served as Administrative Secretary to the Board, served on the Board of Trustees and the Pastor Parish Relations Board.

She was a member of the Three Rivers Lion’s Club, the Economic Development board and on the Three Rivers City Council. She had worked at the State Comptrollers office, Three Rivers Refinery, Three Rivers Federal Prison, HOK in Dallas and currently for PICOSA water supply in Floresville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Les Inscore, two sisters, Louise Shumate and Nora Murray, three brothers, Jesse White, Earl White and J.J. White.

She is survived by one son, Jay Lynn (Marilyn) Smith of Brooksmith, one daughter Janet Gaye (Gary) Martin of Floresville, one sister, Faye Hester of Three Rivers; one brother, Rev. Bill White of Three Rivers, six grand children; seven great-grand children and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was on Sunday, Feb. 14, at 1 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Three Rivers. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church with burial following at the Three Rivers Cemetery.

Pallbearers were her grandsons and nephew, Kyle Smith, Gary Martin, Jr., Chris Martin, Lee Westphal, Jayson Smith and Joe Crawford. Honorary pallbearers were Butch Toerck, Mike White and Glen Murray.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church and the American Heart Association.

Services were under the direction of Galloway & Sons Funeral Home of Three Rivers.
