Eddie “Cotton” McCollough, 81, of Three Rivers died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010.

He was born on Oct. 18. 1928 to James McCollough and Dora Herman McCollough in Fowlerton. He was retired from Three Rivers ISD. He operated the chains for over 40 years for all his beloved Bulldog football games. He was a member of the Three Rivers Volunteer Fire Department. He attended all the churches in Three Rivers.

Visitation was held on Monday, Feb. 22 at Galloway and Sons Chapel in Three Rivers from 5-7 p.m. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 10 a.m. at Galloway and Sons Chapel, officiated by Rev. John Sisk and Mr. Don Jones. Burial followed in the Three Rivers Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tim Stroleny, Dickie Rodriguez, Mac Johanson, Bobby Joe Stewart, Steve Brosig, Jody Coquat, Kevin Sheppard and Danny Lengyl. Honorary pallbearers were Harold White, Lloyd Grubbs, Date Johanson, Bill Taylor, B.B. Rodrlguez, Donald Kasper and Curry Newport.

He is survived by one brother. Wade McCollough of Jourdanton; a nephew, Harold (Nancy) McCollough of Three Rivers; a niece: Janet McCollough (Wayne Pasco) of California; a great niece and a great nephew.

Arrangements were under the direction of Galloway & Sons Funeral Home of Three Rivers.
