Maximiliano “Max” Loza Palacios, 60, died on Friday, March 19, 2010, in Corpus Christi.

He was born in West Texas on Nov. 12, 1949, to Tomas Palacios and Juaquina Loza Palacios. He married Eva Sanchez and they lived in Three Rivers. He was a heavy equipment operator for the construction industry and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Three Rivers.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Frank and David Palacios and a sister Dora Moya.

He is survived by his wife Eva S. Palacios, a daughter Sonia Palacios of Zapata; two sons Leonard Palacios and Orlando Palacios both of Three Rivers; two sisters Tomasa Pena of Premont and Ramona Chapa of West; one brother, Rafael Palacios of Three Rivers; three grandchildren Devn Max Palacios, Kimberly Ashley Palacios, and Josiah Gene Palacios; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, March 22, from 4-9 p.m., with a rosary at 6 p.m., at the Galloway Funeral Home in Three Rivers.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 23, at 10 a.m., in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Three Rivers with burial following at the Three Rivers Cemetery.
