Thelma Ruth Walker Ginn, age 90, of Austin, died March 8th, 2010. Born in Girard, KS, on December 10th, 1919, she was the daughter of Fred and Prudence Baker. She graduated from Kansas State Teacher’s College (Pittsburg State University) in 1940, and married Dallas V. Walker, of Moline, KS, that same year. Dallas died of cancer in 1962. She married Edward L. (Lonzo) Ginn in 1963. Later in her life, she continued her education, graduating from Pittsburg State University with a Masters and Specialist Degrees in education.

Thelma was mother of six children, 16 grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. 

She is survived by: E. Lee Walker, Austin; Dr. Frank W. Walker, Colorado Springs, CO; Thomas R. Walker, Paola, KS; Sally A. Johnson, Bryan; William C. Walker, Olathe, KS; and Kenneth R. Ginn, Webb City, MO.

The family held a reception at Brenner’s Mortuary in Pittsburg, KS, on Friday, March 26th.
