Pearl Alma Rhodes, age 92, died in a Corpus Christi nursing facility, following an extended illness. She was born to J. E. and Beulah (York) Beckwith on Sept. 27, 1917 in Camden, Arkansas. She was a housewife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ewell, daughter Wanda, granddaughter Heatherly, grandson Jody and two sisters, Lola and Viola.

She is survived by two sons, E.J. (Betty) Rhodes of George West and Joe (Rose) Rhodes of Gonzales; one daughter, Sharon (Ruel) Yarnell of Corpus Christi; 13 granchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was on Friday, April 9, 2010 from 4 p.m.-6 Roberson Funderl Home, Three Rivers.

Funeral service was held on Saturday, April 10 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in George West with Brother Irving officiating. Burial followed at the George West Cemetery in George West.

Services entrusted to Roberson Funeral Home in Three Rivers.
