Tiofila “China” Galvan, 90, died Saturday, May 1, 2010 at a local nursing home, following an extended illness.

She was born to Felipe and Dolores (Munguia) DeLeon on Feb. 22, 1920 in Bee County.

She was a housewife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three brothers.

She is survived by two sons, Joe (Brenda) Galvan of Three Rivers, and Robert Galvan also of Three Rivers; two sisters, Maria Chavera of Corpus Christi, and Juanita Perez of Three Rivers; she was blessed with four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 4, from 1-8 p.m., with rosary recited at 7 p.m., at Roberson Funeral Home in Three Rivers.

Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, May 5, at 10 a.m., at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Three Rivers.

Burial will follow at the Three Rivers Cemetery, in Three Rivers.
