Last year Three Rivers Middle School Counselor, Stephanie Schuette ran across info on Oprah.com about a program called ‘Free The Children; and how schools can get involved in helping other students in need.

She applied to help by submitting info about the middle school and why she thought it was important to get involved in making a difference.

Thanks to the fund-raising efforts and hard work of TRMS they were able to send a contribution of $1,127.80 to ‘Free The Children’ for use by the children of Kudapawuda in South Asia.

Shuette said, “We ran an article last year in The Progress when we started the program.” The program administrators sent a thank for the contribution called the Kudapawuda community report. They stated: There is no ‘Better time than the present to create change!’
