Lady Bulldogs win first district game

The Lady Bulldogs opened district on Tuesday, Dec. 16th hosting the Natalia Lady Mustangs. After struggling in the pre-season the Lady Bulldogs claimed an opening night victory. The ladies came out set to play fundamental basketball and let the score take care of itself. The commitment by the whole team accounted for a solid victory 59-40.

The Lady Bulldogs took care of the boards and were defensively solid through out the night. By controlling the boards and playing team defensive the ladies were able to find plenty of opportunity on the offense end of the court. The offensive side of the game saw scoring from each player. Lindsey Ammann put in 14 for the team followed by Lindsey McNeill with 11. Rounding out the scoring for the Lady Bulldogs was Morgan Franke, Allison Dugger, Stephanie Saenz, and Brittany Pullin with six. Kelley Barker tossed in five points while Megan Cruz and Ashley Gutierrez put in two a piece. Klare Escamilla went to the line putting in one to round out the nights scoring.
