This is the 26th year for the Christmas Angel Program in Beeville. So far, more than 100 families have registered this Christmas season.
Social security cards and proof of Beeville residency are required for registration. TEXAP limits are used to determine financial need. Gifts will be available for children ages 0-12 and for senior citizens (68 years and over) or demonstrably disabled citizens (13-67 years).
Shopping dates will begin Monday, Dec. 6, and end on Monday, Dec. 20. Individual appointments for shopping will be given to each family. Parents of each child, ages 0-12, will select two gifts or toys from the display. They also receive age-appropriate Christmas coloring books, crayons, plush animals and stocking stuffers. Their families receive food and toiletries. In addition, elderly and disabled registrants receive gifts. Bibles are available in English or Spanish.
Toys, gifts, toiletries, food and cash donations are needed and will be accepted through Dec. 10.
Angel Tree, in conjunction with the Prison Ministry, will be Dec. 20, for the children of incarcerated parents. Guardians will need proper letters.
