All applications must be submitted online.
Students must apply for a scholarship designated for the county in which they attend high school.
All applicants must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid report.
All grade point averages must be on a 100-point scale and be unweighted.

Seventy, four-year, $16,000 college scholarships are awarded each year to eligible students representing the 60 Area Go Texan counties.
The 70 scholarships include an additional 10 awards given at large to students from all the area counties. These scholarships are just a part of the Show’s annual educational commitment, including four- year, $16,000 scholarships awarded as follows 70 4–H; 70 FFA; 214 Metropolitan; 10 FCCLA; 100 Opportunity; and 15 School Art. Since 1932, the show has committed more than $265 million to the youth of Texas.
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is a Section 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to benefiting youth, supporting education, and facilitating better agricultural practices through exhibitions and presentation.
