Livestock judging team wins first in San Pat

Refugio County 4-H Livestock Judging Team won a first place at the San Patricio contest. The 4-H Livestock Judging team won a first place at the San Patricio County Livestock Judging contest on Friday, Jan. 28.

The intermediate team of HC Neel, Kodye Neel, Derek Ressmann and Reagan Ruddock placed first in the team competition.

In the individual contest, HC placed second, Derek, sixth, and Kodye ninth. Ryan Speis placed 14th in the junior competition.

The team will travel to San Antonio to compete on Sunday, Feb. 20th.

The team will compete in San Antonio on Sunday, Feb. 20. A dinner and dance is set for Sunday, Feb. 26, at the Expo Center to raise funds for travel expenses at other contests.

The fund raiser commences at 6 p.m. and tickets are $25.

All proceeds will help cover cost of registration and travel expenses for the kids. For tickets information contact Amy Neel at 361-649-1131.
