The Kenedy Rotary Club presents the Miss Karnes County Pageant on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 7PM at the Kenedy High School Auditorium. Little Mr. and Miss Karnes County is included in the contest. The annual event is Kenedy Rotary Club’s endeavor to raise scholarship funds for Karnes County graduates. This year’s theme is “Continuing To Make Dreams Real”. Other community efforts of the Kenedy Rotary Club are the annual Distribution of Dictionary’s to all local schools, building wheelchair ramps providing help during Karnes City Rotary’s Lonesome Dove Fest, the annual Chicken Barbeque, hosting the Miss Karnes County Pageant as well as other activities. Entertainment for this year’s pageant is Karnes County’s own John Wayne Schulz. It is great to have him join us for the event. A “big” thank you to Tobe Ricks, entertainment chairman for all his efforts to bring quality entertainment to this event. Kenedy Rotary Club encourages everyone to attend. Tickets for this year’s pageant are $5.00 for Adults, Students are $1.00 and children 6 and under are free. Contestants of Miss Karnes County Pageant will be selling the tickets and the girl that sells the most tickets will win an additional Book Scholarship. Please remember that scholarship when you are approached by one of our lovely contestants. You can also pay at the door the night of the pageant. Kenedy Rotary Club thanks the community in advance for your attendance and support in helping them “Continue To Make Dreams Real” in Karnes County.
